Dog Walker/Jogger
Dog Jogs is growing our dog jogging team! You’ll travel between client homes providing private dog walks and jogs, puppy potty breaks, and cat visits while helping pet parents feel confident their animals are in good hands.
Availability
Our greatest need right now is Monday to Friday, 10am–3pm, but we’re open to applicants with slightly different weekday availability.
- Ideal: Available Monday–Friday, 10am–3pm
- Minimum: At least 3 weekdays with a consistent 5-hour window between 9am–5pm
- Weekends: Available one weekend day per month
- Consistency: Able to keep this availability open for Dog Jogs on an ongoing basis
The exact number of visits can vary from day to day, so consistent daytime availability is important for this role.

Requirements
- Able to jog 6+ km/hr and walk 3–15 km per day
- Reliable vehicle. You’ll drive between multiple client homes each day
- Smartphone and comfort using apps
- 18+
- Clear police check
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
The details
Pay: $15/hr + tips
Service area: Edmonton, St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Ardrossan, and Beaumont. You may work in different areas depending on the day’s schedule, although we do our best to keep visits close to where you live when possible.

What to Expect
- You’ll be work independently, travelling between multiple client homes each shift to walk and play dogs, jog with them, or care for cats and other small animals.
- Your schedule will look different each day. Some days are busier than others, and you may be needed in different parts of our service area.
- We ask for a consistent weekly schedule and a commitment to one weekend a month.
- Our team communicates via Slack and stays connected throughout the day. You’ll also use our scheduling app to check in, send updates, and track your services.
- We work with many large, strong, and often reactive dogs. If you’re not comfortable handling dogs who bark, lunge, or need extra support on walks, this may not be the right fit.

Roles We Hire For
Start as a Dog Jogger and grow with us.
Many of our team members move into training and leadership roles as Head Joggers or Daily Managers once they’ve gained experience and shown initiative.
Dog Jogger
You’ll care for dogs and other pets by walking, jogging, feeding, playing, and sending detailed visit reports. You’ll follow each client’s instructions and adjust as needed for age, behaviour, or weather.
